If an animal is on our website, it is still available but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, it is in your best interest to submit an application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process.
We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.
As an all-volunteer, foster home based organization, ARF does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals. The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we must give priority to pre-approved applicants.
Darla, more commonly known now as Maggie, has found herself back on ARF's doorstep due to her family having a little human and also recently moving. She is a 6-7 year old Boxer mix who was originally adopted from ARF in 2012 after being a momma and raising a litter of puppies. She is housetrained and crate trained. She likes to stay close to her humans and is super affectionate with people - she always wants to be petted or give kisses BUT She will not be adopted to a household that has cats. Someone who has a flexible schedule and is not gone for long hours would be a great fit for her. Don't let her age fool you, she is still a pretty energetic girl and would prefer a fenced in yard to run around and play. She would also prefer to be the only dog in the home so that she can keep all the toys and treats for herself! Hey, sometimes sharing is hard! This sweet girl still has a lot of love to give - are you her new human?
Darla is micro-chipped, up to date, housebroken and spayed. Darla's adoption fee is $200. Fill out an application online today!
